Dr. Venessa Goodnow is the AVP & Chief Pharmacy Officer of the Jackson Health System in Miami, FL supporting the systems Corporate Pharmacy functions, Hospitals, Specialty/Retail pharmacies, Home Infusion Services, LTC and CHS. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University's Doctor of Pharmay program in 1998. She completed an ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at New England Medical Center in Boston, MA in 1999. She recently recieved her Healthcare Executive MBA from the University of Miami. She has been recognized as a fellow by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Florida Society of Health System Pharmacists (FSHP). Venessa is currently the Residency Program Director of the ASHP Accredited PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She has recently joined the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders Advisory Group on Business Development and System Integration. Venessa has served as the President of FSHP and the local chapter Southeast Society of Health System Pharmacists (SESHP). Venessa has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumni of Nova Southeastern University. Mentoring is a passion of Venessa's to ensure the future of the profession has the ability to learn from where the profession has come from and allow the future leaders the ability to continue to make a difference in the patients we serve and the organizations we support.
