Jack Temple, PharmD, M.S., CPEL is Vice President of Pharmacy at UW Health. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina in 2004 and his Master of Science in Health System Pharmacy Administration from the University of Wisconsin in 2006. He completed a PGY-1 and PGY-2 specialty residency in Pharmacy Practice Management from the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics.
Jack currently serves on the ASHP PELA Advisory Group and the McKesson Executive Alliance. Previously, Jack has served as Chair for the Vizient-Medication Use and Information Technology Committee, Chair for the Vizient Pharmacy Business Council, and a member of the Vizient-Pharmacy Executive Committee.
With more than 15 years serving as a leader, Jack has promoted pharmacy services that deliver optimal medication therapy in the right patient care setting.
Jack has a passion for building cutting-edge pharmacy services and is dedicated to training and educating the next generation of clinicians and leaders.
During his leadership career at UW Health, Jack has held various leadership roles in operations, supply chain, informatics, and business services. Now as Vice President he brings a wealth of experience to shape strategic plans to elevate pharmacy practice using health information technology advances, deploying automation and technology for dispensing operations, and has worked to improve medication use, safety, and quality to achieve positive patient outcomes.
