As the Vice President of Centers of Excellence and Chief Pharmacy Officer at Deaconess Health System, Carrie leads a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering high-quality patient care and innovative solutions across various specialties, including pharmacy, oncology, neurosciences, orthopedics, cardiovascular, vascular, digestive care, behavioral health, and women's and children's services. The Center of Excellence service line teams focus on systemness across all the Deaconess entities and affiliates and encompasses the full continuum of care from ambulatory to inpatient and post-acute services.
With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Carrie has a proven track record of developing hospital and service line strategic plans and driving operational excellence and process improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and organizational performance.
Carrie holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business. Her expertise spans clinical pharmacy, hospital operations, service line growth and development, and leadership development. Carrie is passionate about fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within her team and across the organization.
Outside of work, Carrie enjoys traveling with her husband, coaching and watching her three kids in sports, volunteering at church and on community boards, and participating in triathlons and marathons.
